Lote Shutki


DRY LOTIA FISH CURRY
Recipe : Dry Loita Fish Curry (Shutki Mach/Lote macher Chorchori)

Ingredients :
Shukno Lote – 200 g
Peyaj/Onion – 350 g
Tomato – 200 g
Shukno Lanka/Red chilli powder – 2 tbsp
Kacha Lanka/Green chilli – 3/4
Roshun/Garlic paste – 2 tbsp
Halud/Turmeric powder – 1/3 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Shorshe Tel/Mustard oil – 5 tbsp
Dhone pata/Coriander leaves for garnishing.

Process :
* In a container, dip the chopped Dry Lotia Fish pieces in luke warm water for an hour. Then wash them well and keep it aside.
* Heat a Pan, add mustard oil to it, once the oil is heated add half of the garlic paste to it. Add the Dry Lotia Fish pieces to it. Add little turmeric powder and salt to it. Now, stir it and let it fry for 3/4 minutes. Add red chilli powder and green chillies to it and stir it again. Add tomatoes to it and cover it with a lid and let it get blended with the other ingredients and get cooked for 3/4 minutes.
* Next, add chopped onions to it and remaining half garlic paste to it and stir it well. Cover it again and let it cook for another 4/5 minutes. The whole texture will look cooked and dry.
* Finally, garnish with chopped coriander/Cilantro leaves. Your Dry Lotia Fish curry is ready to serve.
